Law firm marketing that wins better matters.

Marketing for Australian law firms, built around the way people actually choose a lawyer. We run your Google Business Profile, practice area pages, Google Ads and website as one plan, so the people searching for help find your firm and trust it enough to call.

Good firms still lose clients to worse listings.

Nobody picks a lawyer on price alone

A person with a legal problem is looking for someone to trust, usually in a hurry and usually on a phone. The firm that looks most credible first tends to get the call, whether or not it's the best firm for the matter.

  • Other firms fill the map results while yours sits further down
  • The practice areas you most want to grow barely show up in search
  • Solicitor profiles are thin, so the expertise behind the firm stays hidden
  • Almost every new client arrives by referral, with no second source of work

What it did for a Darwin law firm.

Full-stack retainer, SEO included

A multi-practice firm in Darwin had spent two years on Google Ads with little to show for it. We rebuilt the account around the matters worth the most to the firm, rewrote the ads to match what people were really searching, and ran search engine optimisation alongside it.

organic for brand searches, up from page 4.

People searching the firm's own name now find it at the top of Google. Those are often referrals checking the firm out before they ring, so being buried on page four was quietly costing enquiries.

What your firm's marketing is built to do

Four pieces that do most of the work
01

A Google Business Profile that's finished

Plenty of firms have a profile that was started and never completed. Yours is completed and kept current, with real photos and fresh reviews from genuine clients, so the firm can compete for a place in the map results.

Why it matters: someone looking for a local lawyer usually sees the map before anything else. Google also treats legal topics as "Your Money or Your Life" (YMYL) content, so local trust signals count for a lot.

02

A page for every practice area

Family law, criminal defence, conveyancing, wills and estates, commercial work: each gets a page of its own, written for the person searching that exact problem, in the words they would use.

Why it matters: a person charged with an offence and a person buying a house want completely different things. One "Our Services" page speaks to neither of them.

03

Profiles for the people clients hire

Every partner and principal gets a proper profile page, setting out their practice areas and where they're admitted, and tied to the practice pages they lead so Google and clients both connect the person to the firm.

Why it matters: referrals tend to pass on a person's name. When that name is searched, a solid profile should be the first thing that comes up.

04

Content that shows real expertise

Longer guides built around the questions people ask before they book a first meeting, such as what happens after being charged in your state. They're written as general information and checked by a solicitor.

Why it matters: Google holds legal pages to a higher bar on experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T). Pages that prove knowledge are now the price of entry.

Practice areas we help firms grow

Each practice area gets its own pages and its own line in your reporting, because the path from first search to signed retainer looks different for every one of them.

We're on the Gold Coast and already work with a firm in Darwin, so distance isn't a barrier. Whether you're in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Townsville, Canberra, Cairns or a country town, you get the same method. Only the location targeting and the local conduct rules change.

Legal advertising rules, in plain English

We write to them from day one

No false or misleading claims

The Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules (rule 36) rule out any firm advertising that misleads or deceives, or is likely to, as well as anything offensive or banned by law. It also can't suggest specialist expertise a solicitor doesn't have, or use "accredited specialist" without the accreditation. The Australian Consumer Law sits on top, covering ads, websites and testimonials whether or not anyone meant to mislead.

Different frameworks by state and territory

New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia operate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law. Everywhere else has its own legislation. In the Northern Territory that's the Legal Profession Act 2006, and the Territory's conduct rules, which took effect on 1 September 2025, carry the same advertising rule.

Tighter limits on personal injury work

Some places restrict personal injury advertising further. Queensland's Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 lets an ad say little more than who the firm is, how to reach it and what it practises, and only through approved publication methods. Promotional lines such as "no win, no fee" have fallen foul of it, and many everyday channels are off the table.

How we work within them

Ads, pages and posts are written to your jurisdiction's rules, and your firm approves every piece before it goes live. We never promise outcomes, never imply an accreditation someone doesn't hold, and only show reviews exactly as clients wrote them. For personal injury, we check the local limits before planning anything.

General information only, not legal advice. Your firm remains responsible for its own compliance, so confirm the current rules in your jurisdiction.

Law firm marketing questions

Do you know the advertising rules for lawyers?

Yes. Each state and territory regulates how lawyers advertise, and some add extra limits on personal injury work. We write to your firm's jurisdiction, nothing goes live without your sign-off, and we won't propose ads or content that create a conduct risk. The rules summary above covers the basics.

Can you get our firm into the map results?

We can do the work that earns a place there, though Google makes the final call. When someone types "family lawyer near me", the map listings usually appear before anything else, and plenty of firm profiles are only half filled in. We make sure yours is complete, accurate and backed by genuine reviews, as part of our SEO for law firms.

Which practice areas do you market?

Family law, criminal defence, conveyancing, wills and estates, commercial, personal injury and employment law. Each gets its own pages and reporting, because clients in each area search and decide differently.

Do you work with barristers?

Yes, where a barrister accepts direct briefs. The work leans on the personal profile and practice writing, and the people reading it are more often solicitors than members of the public. Before recommending anything, we'd work out with you whether consumer search suits your practice at all.

How soon will we see a difference?

Google Ads can start showing as soon as campaigns are approved, so it's usually first. Profile fixes tend to show next, and organic rankings for practice pages build more gradually. How gradually depends on your site and your competition, so we'd rather give you a real view in the free marketing review than a timeline we can't stand behind.

How do you handle Google reviews?

Honestly. We never write or buy reviews. After a matter closes, clients get a simple text and email asking for a genuine review. Any reply we write goes to the firm for approval first, and it never confirms that someone was a client or mentions their matter.

Do you only work with Gold Coast firms?

No. We're on the Gold Coast and our law firm client is in Darwin. The approach works anywhere in Australia; what changes is the location targeting and your jurisdiction's conduct rules.

What does law firm marketing cost?

There isn't one number. It hinges on your city, since click costs in capital cities and regional markets differ a lot, on how many firms compete for your practice areas, and on the shape your current setup is in. The free marketing review ends with a recommendation built for your firm, not a generic bracket.
