Websites for tradies that win the call.

Website design and build for plumbers, electricians, builders, painters and every other trade. Each site has its own page for every service and every area you cover, a number people can ring with one tap, and photos of your own jobs, plus tracking so you can see exactly what it brings in.

Who's actually on the page

One hand on the phone, three rivals in other tabs.

Picture the typical visitor: in a hallway beside a tripped safety switch, or holding a quote they're unsure about. They're on their phone, often one-handed, comparing you with whoever else came up in the search.

They're after four things fast: whether you handle this kind of job, whether you cover their suburb, whether you're safe to let in the house, and how to get hold of you. A good tradie website answers all four on the first phone screen, with no pinching, scrolling or hunting.

So we map the pages and the route to a phone call before any design work starts. A handsome site still loses the job if the number is buried or the form wants twelve fields.

Why tradie websites underperform

Sound familiar?
  • A template that could belong to any tradie in town
  • Slow to load on mobile data, which is where your customers are
  • A phone number hidden in the footer, or shown as an image nobody can tap
  • Every service squeezed onto a single page that ranks for none of them
  • Stock photos of somebody else's work
  • The web designer, not you, holding the domain and the logins

What every tradie website we build includes

As standard, not as extras
Tap to call

The number, everywhere

Your number sits in the header and a call button follows people down the page on mobile. Each call is tracked back to the page and channel it came from.

Quote forms

Short enough to finish

Name, phone, suburb, the job, and an optional photo. Each extra field costs enquiries, and the photo helps you price the work before you drive out.

Service pages

One page per job

Hot water, switchboards, decks, re-roofs: each gets its own heading, photos and answers, which is how you turn up for the specific search.

Area pages

Suburbs with substance

Pages for the areas you want work in, each saying something true about working there. Swapped-name copies read as thin to Google and to customers alike.

Speed

Quick on mobile data

Lightweight images, no bulky sliders or videos that play on their own, and lean code. Speed feeds into rankings and into whether people wait for the page at all.

Proof

Evidence people believe

Photos from your real jobs, reviews pulled from Google, your licence number and the areas you cover. A genuine before-and-after beats a stock photo of a grinning model in a hard hat.

Getting found for the right jobs

Service pages, area pages and real photos.

A person with a flooded laundry doesn't care about your gas fitting. A page built around one service, in the words customers use, showing that type of work and answering what people want to know about it, will outrank and outsell a single page listing every service you offer.

Take photos on your phone as you go: before and after, the tidy finish, the ute on site. We pick the strongest and prepare them so they load fast and help the page get found. A photo that could belong to any tradie does little for you.

Before launch we set up Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and tracking for calls and forms, so when you spend on ads or search engine optimisation (SEO) you can see which calls came from where. SEO for tradies builds on exactly this structure.

Your website, in your name

Check this with any designer, us included

Plenty of tradies only discover their website isn't really theirs when they try to leave the person who built it. Before signing with any web designer, check you hold these.

The domain name

Registered to your business, with your email as the contact. If the domain goes, so does every link, review and printed business card that points to it.

Hosting and admin logins

Separate logins for you to the hosting and to the content management system (CMS), whether or not you'll ever use them.

Your Google accounts

Analytics, Search Console and Business Profile.

Set up under your own Google account, with the agency invited in as a user rather than the owner.

The words and photos

The copy and images belong to you and leave with you. Our agreements are monthly, with a 30-day notice period, so nothing here is used as leverage.

Template or custom build?

Depends where the business is at
A template is fine when

You're just starting out

You work solo, offer a couple of services across a tight patch, and mostly need a place to point people who've heard about you already. A clean template with your number, real photos and reviews does that. Just make sure the domain and account are yours.

Custom pays off when

You're competing for new customers

You're in a busy area, offer several services across many suburbs, run Google Ads, or want search to bring in people who've never heard of you. That's when page structure, speed and tracking matter, and templates start to fight back.

How the website fits with the rest

A shopfront needs foot traffic

Search

Service and suburb pages are the base that organic rankings grow from. Building them in now saves paying to restructure later. See SEO for tradies.

Google Ads

Ads bring calls while search builds, and a dedicated page per service gets more value from each paid click. See Google Ads for tradies.

Your brand

Your site and your ute should look like one company. If an old logo is dragging things down, sort out logo design for tradies alongside the build.

Tradie website questions

How much does a tradie website cost?

The scope sets the price. Main factors: how many service and area pages you need, whether we write the copy and handle photos, extras such as online booking, and whether rankings from an existing site need to be carried over. You'll get a quote for your actual job after the free marketing review, not a ballpark range.

How long does a tradie website take to build?

Content usually sets the pace more than development does. Having your services, suburbs and job photos ready speeds things up, while a large site with many service and suburb pages takes longer since every page needs writing properly. The quote comes with a timeline.

Is a page for every suburb worth it?

No. Only create pages for places you genuinely want jobs from and can write about honestly. A few strong area pages beat dozens of lookalikes, which can weaken the whole site.

What photos should I be taking on jobs?

Before-and-after shots, the finished result from two or three angles, you and your crew at work, and the vehicle. Phone photos in good light are plenty. They just need to be genuine and yours.

Will the website work with Google Ads?

Yes. Calls and forms are tracked from launch day, and each service page is ready to receive ad traffic for that job. People who click an ad land on exactly what they searched for, and you can see which ads turn into work.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. You'll have a login to post new jobs, change photos or update your hours. Prefer to leave it to us? We'll make the edits.

What happens to my current Google rankings when you rebuild?

Every page that currently brings in visitors gets matched to its new address with a permanent (301) redirect, so rankings and links carry over. Rebuilds that skip this step are the usual reason traffic drops after launch.
